Aardschok magazine and website are leading in The Netherlands when heavy metal is concerned. One of the editors, Leon Lohmann, listened to the MindShade demo and gave a very nice review. Here's some of the things he had to say (translated from Dutch):

"With the first riffs you immediately notice that it's a good mix. You can hear every instrument and the guitars have a nice heavy sound."

"There's a lot of diversity in the songs. All the loud stuff is nicely entwined with some quieter pieces. They noticeably spend a good amount of time on the buildup of the songs because I'n not bored for a second. The songs are a bit slow in pace, but they are not all filled with heavy noise and that leaves room for melody."

"The 'magnum opus' of the demo is the second song 'Don’t walk astray'. Some riffs could be influenced by Opeth and MindShade really shows what they are capable of."

"I think this band will certainly leave a mark in the full 'gothic scene'. If you're a fan of Within Temptation, Epica or Nightwish you'll have to check out this band!"
